Patricia (Miller) Thomas

Patricia Lou Thomas was born March 21, 1934, in Birch Tree, Missouri, to Frank and Edith (Miley) Miller and passed away peacefully at her home in Birch Tree, Missouri, on January 17, 2022, at the age of 87. She was united in marriage to Elvin Leslie Thomas on July 4, 1952, and through this union, she was blessed with one daughter, Joyce A (Thomas) McAfee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edith Miller; her husband, Elvin Thomas; in-laws, Leslie and Vada Thomas ; brothers, Edd Miller and Ralph Miller; and sister, Loeta Hunley Patricia is survived by her daughter, Joyce McAfee and husband, Fred; granddaughter, Kayla McAfee and Wade Moyer; two brothers, Robert Miller and wife, Delores, and John Miller; four sisters, Ann Ledgerwood and husband, Sam, Ida Brehm, Alice Ashmore, and Velma Maples; one sister-in-law, Betty Miller; and many nieces and nephews. Patty and her husband, Elvin were the owner/operators of E.L. Thomas Enterprises, Inc., and Thomas Farms. She took great pride in the record keeping aspect of their businesses. Patty enjoyed attending fairs when she and Elvin owned registered Simmentals. She also enjoyed bird watching and rides on the farm. Above all, Patty loved her family and spending time with them. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy in Birch Tree, MO. She was kind, compassionate, cheerful, and loved bright spring colors. Patty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Church of God of Prophecy in Birch Tree, Missouri, with Pastor Gary Larson, Millie Larson, and Associate Pastor Rusty Bland officiating. Prior to the service, a time of visitation was held at 1:00 p.m. also at the church. Interment was in Montier Cemetery, Montier, Missouri.
