Katherine “Kat” Atchison

Katherine “Kat” Rose Atchison was born November 18, 1959, to Eual Loyd and Anna Lucille (Cooley) Atchison, who preceded her in death. She passed from this life on January 17, 2022. Also preceding her in death are grandparents, William and Mary (Conley) Atchison and Henry and Ethel (Cook) Cooley; and two sisters, Maxine McKinley and Vinita Eagle. Kathy is survived by sisters, Eual Gene George , Mary Alcorn, Gale Thomas, and a host of nephews and nieces that she loved dearly. She informally adopted George Fry and family, whom she also loved dearly. She resided in Eminence, Missouri, for the majority of her life and spent many adventurous and fun-filled hours with her family and many friends. She was a generous and good-hearted person who was willing to help others in times of need. Kat had a great sense of humor, and when asked how she was doing, her reply was “Fat and Sassy workin’ on Lean and Mean.” Kathy chose to be cremated and a Celebration of Life gathering was held on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at The Wet Spot Bar and Eatery, Eminence, Missouri. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by family and friends. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri.
