Esther M. Nichols, 93 of St. Clair, MO formerly of Winona, MO, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023. Esther Mae was born on August 1, 1929 to the late Newton Nathaniel and Ethel Cindy (Youngblood) Nichols in Winona, MO. She grew up and attended school in Winona and lived the majority of her life there. On September 8, 1947, Esther was united in marriage to Gene Nichols and they were blessed with two daughters, Jeannette and Brenda. Esther was employed at the Paramount Cap Factory in Winona in the packing department and also drove a school bus. In her free time, she enjoyed making piece quilts and crocheting. In 2006, Esther moved to St. Clair area to be near her daughter. Esther accepted Christ as her Savior as an adult and attended the Assembly of God Church in Winona and later Sullivan. She was a good Christian lady and will be missed by her family and many friends. Esther is survived by her daughters, Jeannette Weaver and husband Bill of St. Clair, MO, Brenda Hassell and husband Jim of Rolla, MO; two grandchildren, Deanna Campbell of Sullivan, MO and Michael Weaver of St. Clair, MO; two great-grandchildren, Amanda Parrish and husband Josh of Lampe, MO and Paige Andreasen and husband Devon of Bourbon, MO; three sisters-in-law, Dixie Nichols of Washington, MO, Joyce Worsche of the state of Washington and Becky Nichols of the state of Colorado; nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends. Along with her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Nichols; one brother, Granville Nichols; one sister, Audrey Nichols; and grandson-in-law, James Campbell. A private family graveside service will be held, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Mount Zion Cemetery in Winona, MO. All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
