Doris Smith

Doris Jean Smith was born June 4, 1938 in New Madrid, Missouri to Amos and Ethel (Crafton) Orr. She passed away on March 15, 2023 at her home in Eminence, Missouri at the age of 84. She was united in marriage to Winferd Smith on August 29, 1954 and they were blessed with one son, Rodger E. Smith. Doris grew up just south of Poplar Bluff and attended school in Qulin, MO. She attended the Full Gospel Fellowship Tabernacle in Eminence. Doris loved her Martin birds. She enjoyed quilting, visiting with her friends, flowers and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Ethel Orr; 4 brothers, Leon, Ivan (Bill), Walter and William (Heavy) and 3 sisters, Mearl, Louise and Barb. Doris is survived by her husband of 68 years, Winferd Smith; son, Rodger Smith (Donna); grandchildren, Kristy Roth (Jon) and Brandon Smith (Alicia); great grandchildren, James, Finnley and Kaylee Roth, Emma, Mason and Alexia Smith; 1 sister, Mary as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside funeral service was held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the New Eminence Cemetery with Pastor Randy Ferguson officiating.
