Walter V. Tucker

Walter V. Tucker, 80, of Barnett, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Harry S. Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born March 25, 1942 in Buckeye Township, Missouri the son of the late Vernon Audrey and Eileen Evelyn (Dickerson) Tucker. On February 29, 1964 in Eminence, Missouri he was united in marriage to Jean Marie (Colley) Tucker who preceded him in death on February 4, 1980. Beloved Father of, Jon V. Tucker (Susan) of Indianapolis, IN; Myrna Hill (Mark) of Tavernier, FL; Walter Vernon Tucker, Jr. (Michelle) of Springfield, MO Five Grandchildren, Josey Hill, Aaron Hill, Ashley Hopfinger, Heather Young & Samuel Tucker Great Granddaughter, Arieanna Young Brother, Raymond Tucker (Darlene) of Villa Ridge, MO Sister in law, Jean Tucker of Villa Ridge, MO A brother, Jim Tucker pre- ceded him in death. Walt served in the United States Air Force as a Sentry Dog Handler. He had served as Post Commander of the V F W Post # 2442 of Eldon, MO. He was employed as a Union carpenter and general contractor and was a talented wood worker. He had a strong Christian faith and was a servant for the Lord. He greatly enjoyed playing baseball. Graveside Services with Full Military Honors presented will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Dooley Cemetery with Minister Travis Hardesty officiating . In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials are suggested to Dooley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO
