Johny Reynolds

son of the late Adren Reynolds and Bertha (Roberts) Reynolds was born September 3, 1950, in Torch, Missouri, and departed this life on April 27, 2022, in Ellington, Missouri. He had attained the age of seventy-one years, seven months, and twenty-four days. Johny had resided in Ellington since 1988 and was formerly of Winona, Missouri. He was of the Baptist faith. Johny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, hunting for mushrooms, and spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and family. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandkids. He had a big beautiful smile that everyone noticed. He was a true fisherman who always had a “bigger” story to tell. Johny was lovable, handsome, very honest, strong-willed, prideful and graceful. On March 27, 1990, he was united in marriage to his best friend and soulmate, Sherry Dooley. Johny is survived by his wife, Sherry Reynolds of Ellington, MO; his four children, Johny Earnest Reynolds, II (Jodie) of House Springs, MO David Foster (Stacey) of Harrison, TN Donald Reynolds (Angie) of Ellington, MO and Samantha Thomas (Jason) of Oceanside CA; one sister, Gracie Dunshee of Cedar Hill, MO; five grandchildren, Allison Mooney, Ben Nash, Collin Foster, Brooklyn Thomas and Bentley Foster; three great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Johny was preceded in death by one daughter, Daina Nash; one grandchild, Johny Earnest Reynolds III; eight siblings, Don, Jim, Homer, Herb, Bill, Danny, Brenda and Betty. A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 5-7 p.m. in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren with the Funeral Services being held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
