Kelley Renee Acklin

Kelley Renee Acklin passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 57, surrounded by the warmth of the life and memories she cherished. 

A country soul through and through, Kelley found her greatest peace and joy in the beauty of the outdoors. She was happiest when surrounded by nature, whether sitting by a crackling campfire under the open night sky, casting a line while fishing, or simply enjoying the quiet simplicity of country life. 

Her love for animals was central to who she was. From her affection for horses to her adoration of dogs and ducks, Kelley held a special place in her heart for all living creatures. 

The steady rhythm of country music enriched her days, serving as the soundtrack to a life rooted in love, warmth, and simple pleasures. 

Kelley was the beloved wife of Edith Acklin, with whom she shared a deep bond and countless cherished moments. 

She is survived by her devoted wife, Edith; her stepchildren, Nathan Weaver, Ladonna Clabough, and Nicole Acrey; her mother, Gayle Kennedy of Cushing, OK; her brothers, Nick Acklin of Yates Center, KS, Mickey Acklin of Norman, OK, Luke Louthan of Springfield, MO, and Cody Harris of Oklahoma City, OK; and her sisters, Misti Hilton of Council Grove, KS, Ashley Barrera of Yates Center, KS, Beth O'Brian of Yates Center, KS, Maggie Jennings of Yates Center, KS, Amber Jennings-Hines of Yates Center, KS, Tracey Rogers of El Reno, OK, Amanda Logan of Ardmore, OK, Joy Smith of Joplin, MO, and Gina Warner of Talihina, OK. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved pets, extended family, and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Frank Acklin, and her brother, Travis Acklin. 

A Celebration of Life Ceremony was held on September 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Church of God of Prophecy located on Highway 99 in Birch Tree, Missouri. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
