Paul Kent Swanson

Paul Kent Swanson, 83, departed this life on August 29th, 2026 at his home in Eminence, sur -rounded by famly, friends and loved ones. He was born on August 21, 1943 to Howard Earl Swanson and Margaret Eloise Fitch. 

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Denise Swanson; daughter, Terri Swanson Thompson; stepchildren Morgan Buffington and Gracy Buffington Bouse; granddaughter Brixton Call; and great-grandson Harley Call. He worked for many years as a farrier at Cross Country Trail Ride in Eminence, MO and shod horses in Arizona in the winter months. Earlier in his career, he worked as a tool and die worker at the Hammer Factory in Bushnell, Illinois. 

Paul was known for his zest for life and his ability to make others laugh and smile. More than anything, Paul loved his family. 

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
