Donald Eugene Norris was born on September 2, 1948, and passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at the age of 77. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend, surrounded by love with his daughter, Dawnalehia, by his side.
Born to Gerald Dean Norris and Fayetta (Leslie) Norris, Don was one of seven siblings: Joyce Yates, Barbara Campbell, David Norris, Roger Norris, Teresa Smith, and Debbie Conner.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In 1970, he married Elaine Voyles, and together they shared two children, Douglas and Dawnalehia. He later married Teresa Banks, and they shared Stephen Don and Lacy. Don was a hard worker, a great provider, and a kind soul with an incredible sense of humor. He loved his family, fishing, hunting, and woodworking. His talent withhis hands was unmatched, and he could fix anything.
Don moved his family to Oregon in the early 1970s for work in the timber industry, later returning to Missouri, where he retired from Birch Tree Auto Parts. He touched countless lives with his generosity and kindness.
He is survived by his children, Douglas Norris and his wife, Brenda, Dawnalehia Norris, and Lacy Norris; his siblings, Barbara Campbell and husband, Steve, Roger Norris and wife, Melissa, and Debbie Conner and husband, Gene; and his mother, Fayetta (Leslie) Martin. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Winona, Missouri, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
