Charles Robert “John” Holloway

Charles Robert “John” Holloway, son of the late George Robert Holloway and Lena Marie (Ford) Holloway was born on January 8, 1962 in Winona, Missouri and departed this life on January 25, 2026 in Winona, Missouri. He had attained the age of 64 years and 17 days. 

John had resided in Shannon County, Missouri for most of his life. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. John was good-hearted, would help anyone, a jokester and had a great sense of humor.

On August 29, 1991, he was united in marriage to Monica Lynn Holloway in Van Buren, MO. She preceded him in death on May 6, 2011. 

Survivors include his children, Jeffery Alan Neal (Katie) of Ellington, MO; Casey Elaine Downs of Van Buren, MO; sisters, Myrtle Pate of Pine Bluff, AR , Sharlet Holloway of Winona, MO, Polly Holloway of Winona, MO and Mary Brawley of Winona, MO; grandchildren, Lucius, Gabriella, Aiden, Justin, and Brionna and many family and friends who mourn his passing. 

In addition to his parents and his wife, John was preceded in death by his brother, Hobie Holloway and his sister, Georgia Marie Holloway. 

A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, MO with the Funeral Service being held at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Yount Memorial Cemetery in Garwood, MO. Online condolences: www.mcspaddenfh.com
