Billy Vernon Jones

Billy Vernon Jones, 75, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at his home in Eminence, Missouri. Billy was born on August 12, 1948, to Arthur and Thelma (Aud) Jones in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He married Carolann Christie on May 27, 1966, in Poplar Bluff; she preceded him in death on July 27, 1984. He then married Terry Pogue on June 20, 1992, in Alley Spring, Missouri. Billy was a member of Masonic Lodge #209 of Poplar Bluff, the Moolah Shrine, Three Rivers Shrine, Order of the Eastern Star, Grandin Chapter #519 and Poplar Bluff Chapter #344. He was of the Baptist faith. Billy enjoyed deer hunting and spending time outdoors. His greatest joy was being with his family. Billy is survived by his wife, Terry Jones; son, Brian Jones; daughter Sarah Rush; granddaughter, Jessica Bergman; three sisters, Janice Jameson, Virginia Sisk, and Carol Shirley; four sisters-in-law, Lou Terrill, Linda Arnold, Beverly Lady, and Donna Rock. Along with numerous other extended family and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon & Thelma Jones; first spouse, Carolann Christie Jones; maternal grandparents, Elmer & Wilma Aud; paternal grandparents, Will & Esther Jones. The Masonic and Eastern Star Service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, beginning at 5:30pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Visitation will follow from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11:00am also at the funeral home, with Reverend Dennis Aud officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
